How To Carve A: Jack-O-Lantern!

This craft is fun to make and looks awesome! PS: This craft takes about 30-45 minutes to complete.

Materials Needed To Gut Out Your Pumpkin:

1 Long (Not Serrated) Knife

1 Large Metal Spoon

2-3 Large Bowls

You May Cut Out Your Own Design Into The Pumpkin, But I Like To Print Out A Template, Tape It Onto The Pumpkin, And Cut Through The Paper And The Pumpkin. I Like To Use This Template:

Directions:

First, start off by cutting the top off your pumpkin.

Make sure to cut on an angle so the top doesn't fall through.

With the large metal spoon, gut out your pumpkin as much as you can.

Make sure to save those seeds and don't throw them out.

Then tape your template to your pumpkin.

You may need to slightly fold the paper to make it wrap around the round pumpkin.

Cut out the eyes, nose, and mouth with the knife.

Be very careful and make sure an adult does this step.

Then remove the tape.

You may have to go over it with the knife to get rid of any excess pumpkin guts.

Make it look as best as possible.

Light a tea light inside of it and then you're done!
